Croatia presented at the BMT tourist fair in Naples

Croatia's tourism was presented at the BMT fair in Naples, which takes place from March 16 to 18.

The biggest interest was expressed in group and family travel and travel for young people with an emphasis on music festivals, the national Tourism Board (HTZ) said on Saturday.

The HTZ branch office in Italy is presenting Croatia's tourism at the most important international fair of tourism professionals in the south of Italy, which gathered more than 400 exhibitors this year.

In addition to the HTZ, six co-exhibitors are presented at The BMT - Borsa Mediterranea del turismo fair, where, among them the tourist boards of the Zadar, Šibenik-Knin and Split-Dalmatia counties and the city of Dubrovnik, as well as the national shipping company Jadrolinija and the tour operator Amatori.

"By attending the fair in Naples, we want to maintain the visibility and recognition of Croatia as an attractive and high-quality tourist destination on the Italian market," said Viviana Vukelic, director of the HTZ Representative Office in Italy.

On the first two days of the Fair, numerous business meetings, presentations and workshops were held. Today, the last day of the Fair, is open to the general public, so many visitors will be able to get additional information about Croatian destinations.   

According to data from the eVisitor system, Italians spent almost 80,000 nights in Croatia this year, which is a two percent increase compared to the same period in 2019. The most nights were spent in Zagreb, Rijeka, Umag, Opatija and Rovinj.
