Minister of Tourism and Sports Nikolina Brnjac said on Thursday that the goal is to absorb all of €289 million from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NPOO) intended for tourism to increase accommodation capacity and develop new tourist facilities on the continent.
The deadline for the submission of projects lasts until 1 March and after meeting with local tourism workers in Rakovica, Karlovac County, Brnjac invited everyone to apply for funding under the NPOO programme "Investments in public and private tourism infrastructure", noting that many projects had already been submitted.
Projects will be evaluated based on the regional index of tourist development and the quality and type of projects, with emphasis on green tourism and digitisation projects, said Brnjac.
"We need to develop products that are intended for year-round tourism and the even development of the tourism sector throughout Croatia," she said and underlined that this is what she discussed today with tourism workers in Karlovac County.
