The Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ) and the European Travel Agents' and Tour Operators' Associations (ECTAA) signed an agreement on Wednesday awarding Croatia the status of a "Preferred Destination," meaning that the association will actively commit to promoting Croatian tourism, HTZ has reported.
With this agreement the ECTAA and HTZ will commit to actively work together to bring back tourism to Croatia in 2021, ECTAA reported on its web site.
About ten years ago ECTAA selected Croatia as a preferred destination, which according to ECTAA president Pawel Niewiadomoski contributed to stronger ties between Croatia and other ECTAA members.
ECTAA represents some 70,000 travel agencies and tour operators in Europe, which provide consultancy and sell transport, accommodation, leisure and other tourism services as well as combined products to leisure and business customers. (Hina)
