The London World Travel Market (WTM) will this November take place in a virtual setting for the first time in 40 years of its existence due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and preparations are underway in the Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ) for taking part in the event.
WTM organisers have confirmed that the 40th edition of the WTM will not take place live at the ExCel London exhibition centre, but in a virtual setting, from November 9 to 11.
This year, WTM London will present trends in world tourism through virtual panel discussions, seminars and different forms of online communication.
The organisers are promoting WTM Virtual as the biggest global event for the travel sector this year.
HTZ director Kristjan Stanicic told Hina that the HTZ received an official notification from the organiser about the WTM's virtual edition and that the HTZ was preparing for exhibiting online.
He also said that the HTZ was planning to exhibit at nine international tourism fairs, adding that it depends on the epidemiological situation and organisers whether those fairs will take place live or online and whether they will take place at all. (Hina/FaH)
