Croatian Tourism Minister Gari Cappelli on Monday attended a presentation of the rescue vessel Nis Randers, procured by the Opatija-based LRH hotel company and donated for use by the local community in the areas of Opatija and Kvarner.
The Nis Randers is a 24-metre twin-engine rescue boat which has arrived from Germany, it is 30 years old and is equipped with all the necessary equipment for rescue operations at sea and for putting out wildfires.
Cappelli said that the results of Croatia's tourism sector were now at 28-30% of last year's results, and that if there were no major disruptions related to the coronavirus pandemic, 35% of last year's results of the tourism sector could be expected to be achieved this year.
