The Promohotel international food, drink and tourism equipment fair opened in the northern Adriatic town of Porec on Wednesday, drawing 200 exhibitors from Croatia, Italy, Slovenia, Serbia, Hungary and Austria.
Opening the event, Assistant Tourism Minister Monika Udovicic underlined the importance of such events for Croatian tourism, saying it was necessary for the seaside resort of Porec and Istria County.
"Istria is the leader of Croatia's tourism. Porec is one of the three most successful towns in Croatia in terms of tourism turnover, alongside Dubrovnik and Rovinj," she said.
The fair closes on Saturday. (Hina)
