The Croatian National Tourist Board (HTZ) has begun promoting Croatia on 11 European markets as a health tourism destination in an effort to increase tourist arrivals interested in the expanding tourism product, particularly outside the summer season.
The health tourism marketing campaign will be conducted until September 30 in Germany, Slovenia, Austria, Great Britain, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Russia, Sweden, Norway and Denmark, HTZ reported.
"The activities that are part of this campaign will also be directed at tourists that are already in Croatia and we will use geographical location settings and send messages to specifically defined areas to selected target groups and guests," HTZ Director Kristjan Stanicic has explained.
According to market surveys, the guests who most frequently come to Croatia for health tourism hail from Austria, Slovenia, Italy and Germany.
