Tourists visiting Croatia in self-organised trips accounted for two thirds (that is 56 million) of the total number, that is 86.2 million, of overnight stays registered in the country during 2017, and they also accounted for 64% (11.1 million) of the overall number of arrivals, 17.4 million, last year, according to figures recently released by the national statistical office (DZS).
The number of tourists visiting Croatia in self-organised, individual trips, increased by 17.4% year-on-year.
In 2016, the arrivals of guests in self-organised trips accounted for 59% of all arrivals (16 million) and their overnight stays accounted for 63% of all overnight stays.
